So why Busbee Brewing?

In 1912 in Rocky Swamp, South Carolina my grandmother gave birth to twin boys who at the time of their birth had some medical issues.
Two area doctors, Dr. Bolin and Dr Busbee were able to save the boys which made my grandmother so greatful that she decided to name the boys after the doctors. So the identical twins were named Busbee and Bolin Williams and obviously one was my father.
Also my oldest brother was named Busbee Jr.

In 1987 our youngest son Sean was born and we needed to pick a middle name..........Busbee was the obvious choice.
We lost Sean in a car accident on January 10th 2010 and wanted to name this brewery after him.
So thats basically it.

Oh yeah. I almost forgot ....... We make really good beer and love doing it.
