Hartshorn Farm grows organic vegetables, fruits and flowers. Sells retail at our farm stand and the Waitsfield Farmer's Market and Big Picture Theater Winter Market, our CSA, as well as wholesale to area restaurants and stores. We have pick your own berries and some wonderful farm animals: Koko, the quarter horse, Amigo, the miniature stallion, and Brown Finkle, the alpaca, as well as 9 hens and a rooster.
New this season: two month on site farming and healing program for female veterans.
Green Mountain Harvest Hydroponic greenhouse grows year round gourmet lettuces, herbs and greens. No synthetic chemicals or petroleum inputs. Working towards energy self sufficiency. Selling retail at the farm stand and Waitsfield farmer's market during the summer season, and wholesale year round to restaurants, stores, and through distributors.
Dave Hartshorn and Amy Todisco are the forces behind the farms, and Amy has created and will implement the veterans program. Dave has two other partners in the hydroponic business.
