Krav Maga is Hebrew for "Contact Combat" and is the official hand-to -hand combat system of the Israeli Defense Forces. It is also the preferred system for the U.S. Military and law enforcement personnel. This reality based system is based on simple principles and instinctive movements designed to teach real self-defense in the shortest possible time. Many of the techniques taught in Krav Maga have been implemented into a fitness program. This Krav Fit class is a Fighting Fitness Program which brings a fresh experience to the total body workout. This class features a combination of strength training, flexibility, heavy bag and pad work. You will learn basic Krav Maga techniques through drills and punch kick combinations on the heavy bag, pads, and focus mitts. Our primary focus is to increase the students' strength, power and performance in Krav Maga, self-defense, or any other athletic skill and enhance their cardio endurance.
What You'll Need:
1. comfortable clothing( i.e. sweats/tanks/tee's)
2. White-soled or non-skid athletic shoes
3. towel
4. water
5. bag gloves/boxing-gloves/hand-wraps
What to expect:
1. you will sweat
2. you will be challenged
3. you will have fun
Monday and Thursday are CO-ED classes
