Lyon's Pharmacy has been a part of Main Street Eklton since the late 1800's. Through out it's history, this location has served as a stable, a general store, and for more than a hundred years, a pharmacy.
In 1961, the Sniadowski family took over the pharmacy and "Dr. Tony" Sniadowski ran it for over the next 50 years! For 5 decades, he worked side-by-side with is wife, Bernadette, their 4 children and, ultimately, their grandchildren! Generations of families have shared memories of the little pharmacy with a luncheonette and Tony quickly became a pillar of the local community.
As the longest continuously running business in Elkton, Lyon's Pharmacy is, without a doubt, the centerpiece of Main Street.
In 2007, Tony's daughter, Marybeth Sniadowski-Cole, came to Lyon's as a pharmacist and in 2014, after her father's passing, she took over the entire business. While Dr. Tony's void is felt here everyday, the pharmacy and luncheonette continue to help patients, feed customers, educate families about diabetes and immunizations, serve the community, and put smiles on faces.
