The First Annual Philadelphia Rube Goldberg Machine Contest will take place at Friends' Central on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Middle school, high school and college students from the Philadelphia region will compete to build the best Rube Goldberg machine that accomplishes the assigned task: Erase a chalkboard.
The Philadelphia Rube Goldberg Machine Contest is program of CultureTrust Greater Philadelphia, an independent charitable trust supporting arts and heritage programs of diverse disciplines and cultural traditions.
Rube Goldberg Philadelphia is a volunteer-driven, not-for-profit initiative. The high school and college divisions of our machine contest qualify winning teams to participate in the national Rube Goldberg Machine Contest, held in April of each year.
