Cranston historic cemetery #2 with many civil war veterans interned their.Cemetery has only one paved road with the rest either dirt or grassy paths.Cemetery is currently going thru renovations and improvement.Grounds are surrounded by water with only access across small bridge that was recently replaced.Nice place for short walks with or without your pet.Cemetery is on a bus route.

Prior to the incorporation as a cemetery this property was a famous nursery in 1823.Trees from this nursery trees were shipped to East Providence,Boston Common and Newport.A large quantity of Mulberry trees were grown here and the farm became known as Mulberry grove.In 1874 William H. Dyer formed the Pocasset Cemetery .The cemetery sits on about 45 acres of land that was called Antashantuck Neck by the Indians.It originally consisted of 113 acres.
