About Luis Escobar -

Luis Escobar has been rated as high as 8 goals while playing on winning teams across the country. With a predilection for the defensive back position, he can turn defense into offense with one hard strike of the mallet. A consummate team player, he is quick to support teammates offensively and defensively with a passing stroke or well-placed powerful backhand.

Born in Costa Rica and educated in the United States, Escobar has called Florida home for nearly 20 years as he continues to be one of America's most promising players. Luis Escobar has won the Pacific Coast Open twice, the East Coast Open twice, the Silver Cup, the Challenge and Sterling Cup as well as the Monte Waterbury among others.

Luis's main goal for Santa Clara Polo Club is to teach and bring people into the sport of polo. From 12 years old to 80 years old, Luis hope to educate and teach about this world renowned sport with the only requirement being an eagerness to learn.
