At Sweetwater Farms we strive to breed top Quality Appaloosa Horses with Class, Color, Charisma-and Physical & Genetic Soundness, as we have since 1979.

As we have for over 35 years, we breed for Quality Appaloosas with correct, well balanced conformation, fluid, natural movement, lacking genetic defects that can be harmful to the horse &/or passed on to their foals.

We feel this is a must for the homegrown horses at Sweetwater, since our vision is to breed Appaloosa show horses destined to stay sound, healthy, productive & happy in their respective show careers or jobs-for the long haul-with expiration dates as competitors longer than is considered by many to be the norm. To us, breeding for the best conformation and genetic correctness possible cannot be overestimated. A sound horse makes for a happier horse, and sound, happy horses make for having happy owners.
