11TH ANNUAL MOUNTAINTOP FILM FESTIVAL
JANUARY 17-23, 2014

"I still have a dream: I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed" - MLK speech at civil rights march on Washington, August 28, 1963

Films from around the world to make you think, wonder, be outraged and encouraged.

Festival highlights include SKYPE Q&A with activist/singer HARRY BELAFONTE, community screening of EUGENE JARECKI's latest project and meet director SAM CULLMAN of IF A TREE FALLS which tries to answer the question, "Do crimes against property in which no one is killed or injured constitute acts of terrorism?"

Be on the look out for Burlington College students demonstrating an OCCUPY CINEMA movement during the festival and enjoy a photographic retrospective of MountainTop's greatest imagery and a sampling of an afternoon at OCCUPY WALL STREET by Waitsfield photographer DAVID GARTEN all month long in the theater lobby.

SPECIAL EVENT TICKETS ARE NEW THIS YEAR and may be purchased in advance for $10 at the Big Picture Theater. Special Event tickets are screenings followed by a Q&A. All other screenings are $8 and free to students with proper ID. Non-special event tickets are transferrable at the festival and can be used for future movie screenings at The Big Picture Theater.
