Bringing the magic of the stage to all children in our community and surrounding areas!
Through A Child’s Eyes Foundation is a non-profit organization established to provide children of all ages with the opportunity to engage in staged performances through participation in our many dance studio classes, summer camps, and annual recitals and professional productions either as a performer or audience member. In the time we have been established, we have created a dance studio, The Studio, Academy of Dance and Music that boast world renowned dance instruction from the Reno Dance Company, and have built annual gala events such as our signature teas and annual Nutcracker Ballet. No child is ever turned away from participation in dance classes, events, or attending performances because of the family’s inability to pay for instruction or tickets due to our scholarship program.
Through A Child's Eye's Foundation was
established in 2007 by Cathe Faretto and a
board of dedicated volunteers to bring
professional staged performances to the
Yerington Community such as The Reno
Dance Company's "The Nutcracker Ballet,"
"Coppelia and the Dancing Dolls,"
"Broadway Blast," and "Dance Extreme." It
is through this Foundation's tireless efforts
that hundreds of local children both young
and old have viewed world class
performances both in our local Jeanne Dini
Theater, as well as the Pioneer Theater for
the Performing Arts and The Grand Sierra
Performance Center.
The Foundation sponsors local dance
instruction and established The Studio
Academy of Dance and Music located at
Weed Heights at 14 Austin and is also
responsible for sponsoring a large
percentage of the students attending The
Studio Academy of Dance.
