Downtown Vassar behind the Vassar Theatre and Betty Lou’s Restaurant (194 E. Huron Ave. Vassar)

$50.00 Road Test
$40.00 Retest

The test takes approximately 1 hour to complete. Students under 18 must be accompanied by one parent or guardian and no other passengers. Applicants over 18 are not permitted to have anyone, other than the examiner, in the vehicle unless an interpreter is needed.



Documents required for Road Test:

Under 18yrs. Of age-
MI Graduated Level 1 Learners License(minimum 6 months before eligible)
Segment 2 Drivers Training Certificate of Completion
Signature of parent and student verifying minimum 50 hours driving experience.

Over 18yrs. Of age-
MI Temporary Instruction Permit(minimum 30 days unless waived due to previous permit or license)

For over 12 years, VAST has been servicing the Vassar area and the surrounding communities by providing drivers license road skills tests. Owners Mary Lou Blasius and Rebecca Damm established the organization in February 2001. Both are certified driving examiners through the State of Michigan. Mary Lou was employed by the State of Michigan for 15 years and for 8 of those years served as the manager of the Secretary of State Office in Vassar. She retired from the State of MI in 2000.
