You will find our private fishing ponds are perfect to teach the little ones the art of the sport. The White Oak River flows through our campground so you can fish from your campsites. Bass, brim, catfish, and local "crappie" are caught on a variety of natural and artificial bait. The fee is only $5 per person per day.

The White Oak River starts out as a small spring in Huffman Forest and runs 48 miles to the coast in Swansboro, NC. Double AA Rated for scenery, this coastal blackwater river offers paddlers an opportunity to visit 1500 year old ancient Cypress trees, or paddle to Haywoods landing in the heart of the Croatan National Forest. Unspoiled by development and preserved by caring property owners, the White Oak River is a wild and scenic paddling paradise.

"White Oak River Outfitters" offers kayak and canoe rentals, special guided trips, instructional classes and shuttle service. We provide paddles and (PFD's) with your rental. Guided trips and shuttle service, additional fees apply. Plan an overnite trip and let us handle the ground plans for you.
