YWCA Rhode Island offers programs adapted to the needs of our ever-changing society. YWCA has more than 1,800 members and annually serves more than 20,000 individuals in Rhode Island and the surrounding Massachusetts’ communities. YWCA Rhode Island has two campuses, one in Woonsocket and the other in Central Falls. Programming includes childcare, child education, youth enrichment, health education, outreach, and promotion, GED/life skills for teen parents, physical activity and socialization for the young, senior clubs, adult and teen sports, women’s political empowerment, financial literacy, and racial justice. The Central Falls facility includes the historic Sarah Frances Gardner House for women in transition, a community center, and a Rosie the Riveter Clubhouse for girls.
YWCA Rhode Island was established in 1867. At 146 years old, YWCA Rhode Island is the third oldest YWCA in the country.
